MONTREAL - ICAP 2018
The partial results and the study launched by the Antonio Meneghetti Scientific and Humanistic Research Foundation and by the International Ontopsychology Association were presented on the occasion of the "Dream and Ontological Rationality" course that was held last winter. The presentation was delivered during the 29th edition of the International Congress of Applied Psychology (ICAP), organized in Montreal from 26 to 30 June 2018.
We share this important event with all who participated in the course "Dream and Ontological Rationality" and with the teachers who believed in this project from its very inception.
LIZORI SUMMER SCHOOL – INTBAU
The International Summer School is promoted by the Antonio Meneghetti Scientific and Humanistic Research Foundation - Switzerland and by the International Network for Traditional Building, Architecture & Urbanism of London, supported by its founder HRH the Prince of Wales, through the Italian delegation INTBAU Italy, in collaboration with the University of Perugia - International Landscape Research Laboratory (CIRIAF-SSTAM) and the Polytechnic of Milan - Environmental Design & Multi-Sensoriality Experience Laboratory (EDME).
The Summer School is a workshop that hosts young people from all over the world, in particular from New Zealand, Holland, Serbia and Italy (Milan, Perugia, L’Aquila) and is an opportunity to study, through the drawing, what Lizori’s language and Code is.
Through a symbolic and a graphic transcription, Lizori's Code develops the discourse and the language of identity of this place. The students will deal with both digital and traditional, manual techniques, drawing Lizori’s façades, details and stones. The aim of this study is to obtain a repertoire and a catalogue of reliefs, graphs and documentation that can become a sort of sample of reference solutions to be applied in the architecture of reconstruction on other sites, also at international level, that have experienced neglect or catastrophic phases.
It is all about transmitting a series of intangible concepts linked precisely to living in this place, that is to say, resuming in some way the thought that, born here with Meneghetti, would then be transferred to those who live and work here today.

The centrality of the value of signs of the tradition was analysed in a confrontation at European level. The presence of the International Network for Traditional Building, Architecture & Urbanism (INTBAU) was pivotal; endorsed by HRH the Prince of Wales, it deals with training and promotes traditions through architecture, town planning, applied arts and culture of the local areas. In Italy it is represented by Professor Giuseppe Amoruso of the Politecnico di Milano - Milan Institute of Technology, who illustrated, together with architect Herriet Wennberg, the projects of recovery, the urban documentation and the promotion of workshops on local building techniques. International guest at the centre of the seminar was architect Helmut Rudolf Peuker, designer from Munich, Germany, well known for his extraordinary capacity to interpret the long-standing classical tradition in architecture in modern style. Professor Fabio Bianconi from the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department of the University of Perugia offered the conclusions to the seminar. Participants – architects, engineers, students at the faculties of architecture and engineering – received formative credits. The works of this seminar are the living witness that the path undertaken forty years ago at Lizori is going on, and its best fruits are yet to come! See the gallery

From the 24th to the 28th July 2017, the 8th World Congress of Psychotherapy “Life and Love in the 21st Century” (http://wcp2017.org/) was held at the UNESCO's headquarters in Paris. The Swiss Scientific and Humanistic Research Foundation Antonio Meneghetti and the International Ontopsychology Association (NGOs in the Special Consultative Status with the ECOSOC of the United Nations) attended the Congress and presented four works as part of the scientific programme of the WCP, under the patronage of UNESCO. After the events led by the Founder Professor Antonio Meneghetti on the “Leader” theme in 2000, and “Pedagogy” in 2006 and 2007, coming back to Paris at UNESCO was very exciting, especially because we had the chance to deliver some of our presentations in the same rooms where Professor Meneghetti presented his own!
The participation at the 8th World Congress of Psychotherapy was coordinated by Dr. Gabriella Palumbo, President of the International Ontopsychology Association.

The theme “Diversity in Harmony: Insights from Psychology” issued the challenge, said IUPsyS chairman prof. Saths Cooper in his Welcome Address, “for a better understanding of the human condition in all its facets and the research of a universal harmony that characterises us as a species”. A theme that, as expressed by the convention chairman professor Kazuo Shigemasu, “expresses the hope for a further development of psychology in further areas, to better contribute to give harmonious solutions to the cogent problems of contemporary society”. The Antonio Meneghetti Scientific and Humanistic Research Foundation (CH) and the International Ontopsychology Association have promoted two international symposia in the frame of the convention: Education and General Health - An Interdisciplinary Approach to Young Generation and Towards social well-being - The challenge of the psychology of the leader. 9 March, 16 - Lizori "A Bridge for civilizations"
University of Perugia. Academy of Fine Arts "Pietro Vannucci". Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities. The Umbria Region and the Municipality of Assisi. The UNESCO World Heritage Association. The International Center for the Study of Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM) and the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC): The first forty years of the Renaissance of Lizori and the eighteenth anniversary of the birth of Professor Antonio Meneghetti Were greeted on March 9 in Lizori by the most qualified cultural institutions in the area and by the most prestigious international organizations in the world who preside over the material and immaterial cultural assets and the alliance between civilizations.
XIV EUROPEAN CONGRESS OF PSYCHOLOGY (ECP2015):
In 2015, ECP reached its XIVth edition, and it was Italy and her dynamic city Milan to host the event at the Università Milano Bicocca from 7 to 10 July, under the auspices of the European Federation of Psychologists’ Associations (EFPA). The Foundation organised a symposium on the theme “Improving social well-being and sustainable development: the United Nation Agenda beyond 2015”, where an evidence of a tangible form of implementation of the Millennium Goals (MDGs) was brought in the Centres wanted and created by the founder of Ontopsychology, Professor Antonio Meneghetti.
The experiences at Lizori and Marudo in Italy, as well as other experiences in Russia and Latvia, showed the attendees that ecosustainability is not just a need of our society, it is also a request that can be tangibly responded to. Lizori, Marudo, Diostan, Lizari were all derelict and neglected places which turned into marvelous cultural centres, true examples to follow, shaped following the highest humanistic values, created and lived under the sign of those values of ecobiology and sustainability, interculturality and integration, support of private endeavour, of art and interdisciplinarity, of young people and innovation, all coinciding with the UN's goals. A formative model to replicate.
The symposium “The educative function between family and social responsibility” treated the role of educators and the need to promote a responsible pedagogy. Pedagogy is the art of assisting or leading the child toward self-realization and must therefore push toward the promotion of an education that can help and stimulate the individual to the knowledge and to develop one's identity, to be functional to him/herself and consequently be able to contribute to the social context in which s/he lives and works.
Besides the two symposia, AIO, in collaboration with AEO, has presented seven individual works, four of which were spoken presentations, while the other three were posters. Each of the seven works illustrated diverse aspects of the scientific model expressed by Professor Meneghetti; some of them included some applications of ontopsychological science.
Bali, 28-30 August, 2014 The Antonio Meneghetti Foundation at the 6th UNOAC Global Forum
It was in Bali, from 28 to 30 August 2014, that the Sixth United Nations Alliance of Civilizations Global Forum took place: after Madrid, Istanbul, Doha, Rio de Janeiro and finally Vienna, this time the venue chosen for the important Forum organized every other year was Indonesia: the biggest archipelago state in the world, composed by more than 17 000 islands, a country which officially recognizes up to 6 religions and consists of several hundreds of ethnical groups, each one with its own culture features, embedded mainly in contacts with the Indian, Arab, Chinese, Malaysian and European world. What could be a better place to gather distinguished guests - politicians at the highest level, representatives from the world of diplomacy, presidents of the most important civil society associations, academics, economists, experts in international finance, researchers from the most divers sectors of human activity from all over the world - around the two main topics of the Congress - that is, "Unity in Diversity: Celebrating Diversity for Common and Shared Values" and "Knowing One Another: Urgent Need to Foster Dialogue and Understanding between Eastern and Western Civilizations"?
The highest UN authorities attended the Forum's opening: from the Secretary General H.E. Ban Ki-moon to the President of the 68th Session of the UN General Assembly John W. Ashe and the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) High Representative H.E. Nassir Abdulaziz Al-Nasser. Officially invited to the event - the Scientific and Humanistic Research Foundation Antonio Meneghetti. The distinguished representatives recalled several times the round table which took place in Lizori on 22 March 2013 together with the Professor Antonio Meneghetti: a meeting that left a mark in hearts and minds, but that, above all, paved the way and gave momentum to new initiatives for the development of the human being and the society.
The Lizori project, with its contribution to 8 Millennium Goals achievement as well as to the future 15 SDGs, with its ultimate approach to the social responsibility concept, with its very original and successful experience precisely in the field of living together and cooperation between different cultures (one of the thematic pillars of the Congress), was presented by Mrs Pamela Bernabei. Her presentation raised an extraordinary, deep interest in the public: questions, points of interest, requests for contact details as well as materials on both the project and the Foundation's activities were indeed many. During the Forum, there was also an occasion to talk about the Lizori project to the UNESCO President Mrs Irina Bukova.
The Forum, with its rich content proposal and the surprising diversity of nations and races taking part at it, represented therefore a precious opportunity to look beyond the habitual geo-political horizon and to try to catch sight of one's activity also in a more complex culture context, employing as a tuning fork - allowing even the most colourful orchestras to harmonize around the elementary shared key - those humanistic values of which Lizori is the most beautiful and the most successful expression in the world
